JIM REDMON
Executive Director

Jim Redmon joined the Kansas Children’s Cabinet and Trust Fund in 2003 as an assistant director before being appointed Executive Director in 2004. Jim has an extensive background in early childhood policy, child abuse/prevention program and policy development, fund development, organizational leadership, evaluation and systems planning. Under his direction, the Kansas Children's Cabinet serves as the program and fiscal agent for Smart Start Kansas, the Children's Initiative Fund, the Community-Based Child Abuse Neglect and Prevention program and the Early Childhood Block Grant. Jim is also responsible for the coordinating and convening the Kansas Early Childhood Comprehensive Systems Plan and the Kansas Strengthening Families Plan. Jim has a Masters Degree in Public Health (Maternal and Child Health) from the University of California, Berkeley and a Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of Michigan. Jim is a graduate of the Kansas Health Foundation 2006 Fellows Leadership Institute.

JANE WEILER
Early Childhood Director

Jane Weiler joined the Kansas Children’s Cabinet and Trust Fund in 2008.   Jane oversees and coordinates the Cabinet’s Early Childhood Block Grants, Smart Start grants as well as works with partners on statewide initiatives.   Jane graduated with her BS and MS in Education from Missouri State University, Springfield, MO.  After 16 years of teaching in St. Louis public schools, she started with the Kansas Department of Social and Rehabilitation Services (SRS) in 1993.  She has worked for SRS since then in a variety of roles:  Grants Manager of the Child Care and Development Block Grant program for child care centers, manager of the statewide contract for child care resource and referral and infant/toddler services, interim Early Head Start Program Manager, point of contact for various special quality initiatives such as the home visitation project and informal caregiver pilots.  Jane has also convened “Partners” groups within SRS Regions during the past 8 years to help promote positive working relationships between SRS, resource and referral, child care licensing surveyors, Head Start/Early Head Start, Smart Start, and other early childhood partners.

DYOGGA S. L. ADEGBORE
Program Consultant

Dyogga Adegbore joined the Kansas Children’s Cabinet and Trust Fund in 2004.  She manages the contracts and grants, procurement, and financial administration.  Dyogga has worked with agency heads in state government and private industry for 25 years.  Most recently, Dyogga worked with the CEOs of the Kansas Board of Regents, Kansas State Fire Marshal, and Kansas State Bank Commissioner offices.  She is a graduate of Washburn University and Platt College.  She has held membership in the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and the American Business Women’s Association (ABWA) for 10 years.
